Q. Why did you choose HR package software with customization rather than a non-customized HP package?
A. There were two reasons. Firstly, we had a very complicated HR management system simply because our business sphere was wide and various, from planning and manufacturing to retail shop management. Therefore the types of job, types of employment and types of shift were wide-ranging. We had already experienced that a non-customized package system could not support our situation. Secondly, we needed the flexibility to allow rapid changes. At the time we decided to replace our HR information system, the number of employees was increasing dramatically. We were facing fundamental changes in HR management that would be introduced step by step in a relatively short time. Therefore, the next system we invested in had to be flexible enough to adjust itself in a timely manner.
Q. Why did you choose ITC?
A. The consultant from ITC understood our HR assessment and education system deeply and we believed we could trust them as a partner. When we told them what we wanted to have as users, they showed us a system design which would fully realize our requests. Their professional advice also helped us to operate our new HR management system on a daily basis. We could trust their thorough understanding of our HR system requirements and their capabilities to constructing an IT system from users' requests. ITC also guaranteed to be flexible enough to accommodate our expected changes. Not only the consultant but also the engineer joined our meetings from time to time. We could sense that they tried to build the best system for our company.
Q. How do you evaluate the Rosic HR information system?
A. It is really easy to deal with. Even though I myself don't have a great computer literacy, I have no trouble using the system. It is so intuitive that I can find information I need by clicking a couple of buttons. We don't need a thick user manual book. This is one of the advantages of the Rosic system comparing to other package software. I occasionally call ITC to solve a problem quickly because they always show us an answer to any questions clearly. We also enjoy the benefits of its' security structure. We allow access to certain information to relevant departments for their particular requirements without jeopardizing sensitive information.
Q. What are you satisfied with Rosic system and ITC?
A. We could reduce the time for operating our assessment system dramatically. Our assessment system is the combination of a result of personal assessment and an achievement of each department. We always have to consider a fair balance based on an annual budget. It used to take a long time to complete since we have various types of job, employment, and shifts. Now we can use the time to plan a better management systems rather than calculating figures. It helps us to be more creative.
With a system designed to fit our own HR management system, we can do “trial and error” easily. Therefore, we can make a decision objectively supported by various data. If we had to calculate these figures manually, it would not be easy or reliable and the numbers of trial scenarios would be very limited. We are very happy we made the correct decision to introduce a system designed to fit to our own business.
Q. What is the next step regarding your HR information system?
A. We have established a solid base of HR information management. Now we are planning to introduce an IT system that can realize cross analysis between our HR information and sales data. To fully utilize this HR information in company management decision will be our next step in the near future.
We are planning a reconstruction of our fundamental organizational structure. We expect an increase of our employees over time. HR management will change as the times change.
Under these circumstances, we stick to the idea of having a flexible IT system. So, we would like to maintain our good relationship with ITC.
